Brief History
Arroyo Grande has long since been one of California’s most productive agricultural regions. Gaining its footing in the early 1900’s as a producer of crops such as cabbages, carrots, beans, peas, pumpkins and onions, Arroyo Grande’s (or “AG” as the locals call it) economy is still largely reliant on its vegetables. However, award-winning local wineries are beginning to attract attention of their own from around the world.
